THERE ARE NO WORDS.
The worst part is, WE HAD HIM. (Okay, the worst part was that it was a game against the Phillies but you know what I mean.)
GROUP HUG TIME.
I think it might be time to try to stop watching baseball for a little while. I don’t know if I can do it.

I keep telling myself I should stop watching baseball for the rest of the season. But then I realize how empty my life would be without it. And I just start watching again.
But a group hug is a good idea.
2009’s over.
2010’s over before it started (Omar and Jerry are coming back. Thanks Wilpon$).
Only the Mets could lose like this.
I’m glad we weren’t at this game. Yesterday’s was bad enough.
We watched the first inning, swore mightily at Oliver (the true goat), and were heartened by the two runs against Pedro. We then bailed for shopping.
When we came back, we were in time to watch the end of the game. We were happy that the Mets had come back, but watched Sean wild pitch in an insurance run. Hey Matt Stairs… there’s a keg at every base! Well, you all know what happened at the end. How often are we going to have to relive the play over the next couple of days? Bruntlett botches two plays, then pulls down the line drive with the runners in motion. Shear luck. I suppose it’s in line with the rest of the season.
How the heck do we fix friggin’ Perez? Do we bring Rick and his magic jacket?
Next game for us? The Cubbies. Carry on, Mets fans. Group Hug.
Alls I have to say is I was at a game where there was an inside-the-parker and a triple play. I knew we were gonna lose after the fourth or fifth batter, so hey, so with that in mind, I got my money’s worth! Oh, you guys thought the Mets might actually come back and win that one? What planet are you on?! ;)
