THE LETTER THE WILPONS SHOULD HAVE SENT US.

I don’t usually do this, but I had planned to write something similar over the weekend, now that the information about the purported ticket price decreases has made the rounds. However, Greg Prince over at Faith and Fear has already said everything I could have said, and more. This is a must read for every Mets fan.

Faith and Fear in Flushing: The Letter They Should Have Sent

It’s people like Greg and Jason that make me proud to be a Mets fan. It’s people like the baseball fans I met on Twitter, from all over the country, Mets and non-Mets, that make me proud to be a baseball fan. It’s about time the Wilpons step up.

I have to admit that I laughed until I cried, and then went over to bugsybanana on live journal and dropped it on her.

It turns out that my [relative] knew M. Donald Grant back in the day.  Probably fortunately for the Wilpons, Joan Payson is resting in peace and not likely to return from the grave to smack them around.

Metsgrrl, I know folks like you and I are supposed to get along about as well as dogs and cats do, but I wanted to drop you a little note to say hi and tell you that I dig your blog (which I found through K-Bro’s blog).  :)  Yes, I am a Phillies fan, but I can appreciate fun baseball-related writing even when it’s about the rival team!
