*TAP TAP TAP*
It’s November 10.
Do you know where your partial season ticket plans are?
It’s November 10.
Do you know where your partial season ticket plans are?
they’ve almost taken all the fight outta me. and the person from mets.com who was checking the site 4 times a day has gone away.
I just assume that they are busy and just haven’t gotten around to setting the partial plans up yet. We’ve waited til next year often enough…
I guess jeff and fred are still licking envelopes and stamps
BREAKING NEWS:
My damn $758 got back to my credit card, with only 2 months of interest for the Wilpons! I was starting to seriously consider a demand letter.
This is how the Yankees are doing their 15 game plans. It is posted on their website at http://mlb.mlb.com/nyy/ballpark/new_stadium_ticket_license_plans.jsp
I sure hope we do the same types of plans as I loved my Saturday plan
—————————————————————————
15-GAME PLANS – FRIDAY PLAN+, SATURDAY PLAN+ AND SUNDAY PLAN+
New Plans in 2009. Similar to the 2008 “C,” “D” and “F” Plans; the “C,” “D” and “F” Plans will not be available in 2009.
The 2008 “C,” “D” and “F” Plans have been further developed and modified to create three new 15-Game Plans. Choose the Plan that best suits your needs.
The Friday Plan+ consists of all 13 Friday Games, as well as two designated weekday Games, for a total of 15 Games. Please note that if Opening Day is scheduled for a Friday, another weekday Game will be substituted for Opening Day.
The Saturday Plan+ consists of all 13 Saturday Games, as well as two designated weekday Games, for a total of 15 Games. Please note that if Opening Day is scheduled for a Saturday, another weekday Game will be substituted for Opening Day.
The Sunday Plan+ consists of all 13 Sunday Games, as well as two designated weekday Games, for a total of 15 Games. Please note that the scheduled Opening Day is not included in this Plan.
Benefits for all 15-Game Plans:
A 15-Game Plan will include the same great seats for all 15 Games and will provide access to a pre-on-sale (prior to any public sale) for Yankees postseason home games.6 Licensing a 15-Game Plan will provide a Licensee the opportunity to enjoy other features and amenities such as discounts off Game Day ticket prices, ticket forwarding, ticket exchange (subject to availability) and the StubHub ticket resale program.
there’s a lot that the yankees are doing with their planholders that i’d like us to emulate.
we do know for certain that the saturday and sunday plans are going away, however.
I don’t know Caryn. Do we really know that they are going away?
Yeah, Kevin, we do. THey told us this:
““We are pleased to advise that we will have a selection of Ticket Plan offerings at Citi Field for our loyal Ticket Plan account holders prior to sales to the general public. Two 40-game and five 15-game Plans will enable us to accomodate each 2008 Ticket Plan holder with a Ticket Plan purchase opportunity for our Inaugural Season at Citi Field. We will communicate these offerings to you in the weeks ahead.”
It was in the letter the Mets sent out. And it’s pretty much industry standard.
Which is why it’s INFURIATING that they haven’t gotten their act together yet.
The date everyone is waiting for now is November 15, but I’m not holding my breath.
Also, Soothsayer posted on this thread about what the Mets told them yesterday. Not good.
This is all correct. But I thought the 15 game plans will include Sat./Sun. plans (13 games) with a few weekdays included to bring it up to 15 games. No?
interesting, kevin. i don’t remember htat coming up in all the chat but you may be onto something.
I have been getting my info from Baseball Fever. There is a whole thread dedicated to Citi Field tickets: http://www.baseball-fever.com/showthread.php?t=81199&page=171. Check it out. BTW - I am a huge fan. Just by coincidence, my playoff seats were in Section 12, right beghind you. I was going to thank you for a great site. But I didn’t get the chance. Some year.
right. that’s the same place the crane pool guys are, too. i think that TBF just hasn’t caught up since we’ve been so busy.
it would be great for the weekend planholders if they were accommodated. i just am apprehensive.
and thank you!!
yeah for some reasonwe got bumped from our regular seats - mezz sect 25 row g to the upper level section 2 row j lol i spoke to a ticket rep not too long ago named jamie and he all but assured me that there would be a sat plan - if there isn’t there will be hell to pay cuz thats why i bought the partial anyway - btw does ne1 else remember in 07 that they said if u bought partial plans in 07 & 08 that we would get first dips (along with the full season crowd) at citi?
All of this just gives me a huge headache. I wonder what the Mets will do with the people like me, who didn’t want to pay interest on their credit card “deposit” for the 2009 season?
Everyone with partial plans were promised first dibs on Citi Field, but apparently the Mets organization didn’t watch SNY at all over the past two years, including the last month or so of the 2008 season.
Has anyone heard about the class action lawsuit? Someone close to the Mets org told me one was brewing for the partial plan holders.
Also, if the beat writers aren’t covering the story, let’s write an editorial about it and send it to the Post, Daily News, NYT, Newsday and Matt Cerrone. Someone might run it online….and at the very least, some bloggers might post it for Mets fans to see. If you’re in, email me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). I’m happy to draft one.
Partial planholders were never promised first dibs at Citi Field. Any class action suit based on such a claim will not go very far as the Mets have been clear about distinguishing Season Ticketholders (i.e., full season ticket holders) from Ticket Planholders (i.e., partial planholders). In fact, until October 17, 2008 (the date that the Mets sent partial planholders a letter regarding Ticket Plans at Citi Field), the Mets were conspicuously silent regarding whether there would be partial plans at Citi Field at all. Instead, they made it clear that only full season ticket holders would receive any priority at Citi Field.
With respect to partial plans at Citi Field, I was told the following information today. The Mets had hoped to get out more detailed information regarding their 2009 partial plans before Thanksgiving but now believe that they won’t be able to finalize their partial plans until some time in December. Apparently, they are still trying to figure out the logistics (e.g., postseason rights, location of seats, etc.) of the 2009 partial plan offerings since they are completely different from the partial plans offered in previous years.
From my perspective, it is beyond ridiculous that the Mets haven’t yet figured out these details by now. These decisions should have been made this past summer. Instead, they spent all of this season trying to sell as many full season ticket packages as possible. Now, they are scrambling to figure out a way to market their various partial plans in the most efficient way possible so that they ensure that people are motivated to buy each of their partial plan offerings as opposed to just a select few. Combine the Mets’ Ticket Office’s usual ineptitude with the task of trying to market partial plan offerings distinct from last prior years and you get this clusterf**k that we are all experiencing now. The sad thing is that any combination of us could have handled the transition of partial planholders from Shea to Citi Field better.
I’m sitting on the edge of my chair waiting…..
