SILENT MOVIE.
TONIGHT, ON METSGRRL’S SILENT MOVIE:
THE TALE OF TWO DHL PACKAGES
STARRING: TBF
[the continuation after the jump]
SPECIAL THANKS TO:
- The Mets Ticket Office, who told us that they didn’t have any tracking numbers and that our tickets weren’t going out until next week
- DHL, for leaving the tickets without obtaining our signatures for the packages, despite the large SIG on the package
- Whichever neighbor walked the boxes up to our apartment door instead of leaving the boxes lying forlornly in the entrance hallway

Wow, that is a way better set-up than the box, tickets and a random leftover Bobble Head doll that comes in the Twins package.
What plan did you end up getting, Jen? Let’s talk prices. I am curious.
My only point being, for what we pay, and the price increase, we should get SOMETHING.
Oh, I was *so* impressed with that darn box! I agree it was way better than the shovel pen and it even beats out the previous season’s gift (a leather mousepad in the shape of home plate). I have a Sunday plan and what I was thrilled about (besides the box, did I mention I like the box?) is that the last game tickets have special silver foil all around the center portion where the new/old Shea Stadium is.
You think the Mets would realize that some of their fans don’t live in doorman buildings. After DHL attempted my delivery FOUR TIMES and NEVER left a note, I finally agreed to pick up my tix at Shea.
And we have to go through this EVERY time. Sigh.
Meg, I hear ya. Last year we were chasing the DHL driver around warehouses in the Gowanus. I had to have a breakdown and cry at the DHL office in Manhattan when there was a failed redelivery for playoff tickets. (Our DHL guy also does not leave notes.) this time they just left everything in the hallway and i would still love to know who signed for it and how that was okay. i do know at least the mets could cancel the barcodes and wed be okay.
love the brooklyn pennant ale :)
