IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF THE DC SERIES.
(sung to the tune of “Jose Jose Jose”)
We suck, we suck we suck we suck
Oh, yes, we suck, we really suck
TBF: “Did we just drop a series to *THE NATIONALS*???!!!”
Yes. Why, yes we did.
Twitter this morning was bubbling over with cries for Jerry and Omar’s head. After everything calmed down a tad, I noted that it was too bad that the Mets organization could care less about social media, because they would have learned that Omar’s PR appearance - with support from Gary Cohen, lobbing him softballs - was a dismal failure and just alienated the fanbase even further.
Not that any of it really matters. You could fire the entire coaching staff and it would still not salvage the season.

I live in DC, so I attended Tuesday night’s game as my first Mets game of the season. I had watched so many dropped flies on TV this season that I thought I was prepared for the inevitable drop in this game. But when Francouer flubbed what should have been an easy grab, I realized that nothing could have prepared me for such utter embarrassment.
My first game at Citi is in September. At least I now know we won’t be in the midst of a late-season choke job.
Any chance of Omar “Encyclopedia Brown” Minaya investigating, you know, this team?
One earned run in the series, in 24 innings, against pitchers not making their major league debuts. Even the 1906 ChiSox, the original “Hitless Wonders,” gotta be laughing it up from the great beyond over these ragamuffins.
Jack, you need to get your own blog. If you’d like to post a shortened version of that thesis, please go ahead, but that went way beyond a comment and completely hijacked the blog.
As I said on Twitter just now, if you don’t want to read a blog that is negative, then - don’t read blogs right now, or start your own.
I don’t need everyone to agree with me. But this isn’t agreeing with me over who should bat cleanup. This is agreeing with me about whether or not I’m entitled to feel a certain way. No one gets to dictate that except, well, me.
You’re right Caryn. I’m sorry if I usurped your opinions or feelings in anyway. But feeling so strongly about the Mets, I’m sure you can relate to how passionate I am about the team and the certain aspects I shared. I just wanted to share an angle that had a bit of a more positive spin. But, I meant no offense, and I’m sorry you felt I tainted your blog in anyway. By all means, I enjoy reading different angles on the Mets, and I will continue to enjoy reading your’s.
And, I think I will set up a blog. Thanks for the suggestion.
