HAPPY OPENING DAY 2009!
Good morning from Cincinnati, where it’s dark, overcast and 41 degrees. A very bad cover band has already started performing downstairs in Fountain Square, people bundled up in red jackets are lined up for Skyline Chili, and lawn chairs are lining the street. We’ll be heading down to the parade around 10:30, and then down to the ballpark a little before noon. On-field festivities begin around 12:30.
Full writeup will get posted from the road later today (provided wifi cooperates). During the day, I’ll be sending cameraphone photos into my Flickr feed and trying to send updates and photos also via Twitter (although as usual I don’t know that I can handle two cameras, taking notes, and the cell phone during the game, but I’m going to try it out).
