2010 TICKETHOLDER GIFT FROM THE METS.
The reveal, after the jump.

Success.
While I believe this product speaks for itself, I will just point out that the fact that this has to be plugged in to work completely negates any carbon offsets the Mets received from not sending out printed media guides.
Update: a kind Twitter friend posted a scan of the instruction sheet we didn’t have, which would have increased our initial chances of success, since it’s what we ended up doing to get it to work (finally).

Wow, that’s, ... wow. All of a sudden I love my cheap-o M’s tote bag so much.
And seriously, “Thanks for your business!”? “Business?” What about “loyalty” or “being part of our baseball family”? It’s almost like you bought some copy machine toner from them or something.
I let TGF set ours up. I was spastic and kept having the ball stick or fall, just like in your video. We had it on the mantle for a day or two—a bit of an odd glowing night-light. However, it doesn’t match the decor. We considered moving it to the office, but magnets and computer equipment don’t mix. Besides, I didn’t want the dumb thing plugged in all the time. It’s now back in the box and headed for storage with the other miscellaneous Mets items we don’t know what to do with.
And… Your comment about the carbon footprint versus paper media guides is a good one :-)
I can appreciate the level of commitment one gets by purchasing season tickets to their favorite team. It brings you one step closer.
Then you see crap like this. And it’s two steps back. I’ll stick with the individual tickets, thanks.
